Tom Davy grew up riding his uncle’s horses. By the time he was ten, he was showing his horses, then he was breaking and training them. By the time he went to college at the University of Missouri, he’d worked on a ranch in Montana and was a wrangler at a summer camp in Colorado. His opportunities to talk to horsemen sparked Davy’s growing interest in the Old West, a passion that has continued despite a 38-year teaching career and a 94-season coaching career in four sports. Now retired, Davy is writing about his ideas on westerns.
